Why I'm doing this?

Personality psychology is largely unknown in Germany, so it wasn't until 2015 as I came across a sentence on a dating page: "I am INTJ, and I like INTP" or so. Curious as I am now, I had to google it and thus began a completely new trip in the matter of self-knowledge. So please ignore my non-perfect language, I'm still german and translate my articles to english for a wider audience.

At the last city campus in Trier the psychology professor has confirmed that the Big Five model is established. Whether this is also true of all the subtleties of the Myers-Briggs model is open to discussion, but the saying on www.16personalities.com is sooo true:

“It’s so incredible to finally be understood.”
"Take our Personality Test and get a 'freakishly accurate' description of who you are and why you do things the way you do."

In short, my result was INTJ. Each of the four letters represents a personality aspect, there is a lot of stuff to read, as always Wikipedia provides a good overview.

I for Introvert as opposed to E - Extrovert
This aspect is relatively easy to understand, if a person gets its energy from itself or from the relationship with others.

N for intuitive as opposed to S-sensing
Has the possibly largest influence, but can be difficult to describe. In the case of S types, the "what is" is the focus, while the N types place more emphasis on the "what can be". By far the majority of the population are S-types, with the N perhaps 25%, but they generally have the greater influence, because practically all inventors and creatives are Ns. This is because they are not satisfied with the tried and tested, but expand their world based on their imagination.

T for Thinking vs. F - Feeling
This is also quite simple: T-types are the rational ones who make their decisions due to facts, F-types rely on their gut feeling and their emotions.

J for Judging as opposed to P - Percieving
This relates to the question of how to see the relationship between "now" and "future". P-types live in the here and now and are spontaneous, for J-types the future is the goal, so they are more organized and make plans.

In this combination, the INTJs are the "masterminds" - most commonly used in Hollywood movies as supervillains. Because the aspects are not equally distributed, the INTJs are also pretty much the rarest types with about 1% of the males and 0.5% of the females. If you need an ingenious masterplan which has prepared alternative solutions for all possible eventualities and which should be hatched from a quiet shed somewhere in the middle of nowhere, then look for an INTJ. Well-known real INTJ personalities are for example: Vladimir Putin, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michelle Obama, Elon Musk ... and Hillary Clinton possibly too, her cool and rational appearance made her so unpopular.

And now to answer the question of the beginning: As INTJ one does not see the world just like the great majority of the population. If you get the opportunity to talk to an INTJ fellow, then you'd realize how equal the thinking structures are, which you can not find anywhere else. In this blog, I am going to add my five cents to different topics - so other INTJs do not feel so lonely and non-INTJs maybe can see that there is also another way to perceive the world (most men are ISTJ and the women ISFJ with each around 15%, for the comparison ...).
